Committees

Volunteering on a committee is one of the BEST ways to find value in your membership.  With a monthly commitment of about an hour, sitting in and participating on a committee will allow you to create connections and grow your contact list with industry colleagues while working together to reach a collective goal.

Membership/Marketing

2026 Chairs: Recruitment Chair: Scott Gillespie, ECI Solutions; Retention Chair: John McKinney, Homestead Building Systems

  • Coordinates marketing, member services, recruiting and retention
  • Meets monthly on Tuesday mornings; times subject to change, but email reminders will be sent.

Work Force Development

Chairs:   Eric Robertson, Smith & Robertson, Inc.

  • Work Force Development Goal: The BRHBA WFD Committee supports initiatives focused on attracting, training, and retaining skilled workers in our community by assisting with local education in the building trades and promoting public awareness of the rewarding careers within the home building industry.
  • The WFD Committee will begin meeting virtually with the option to switch to in-person meetings later in the year.
  • We will finalize the meeting schedule in the new year and will do our best to meet monthly.
  • Email reminders will be sent a week ahead of our meetings.

Programs Committee

  • Chair: John Kerber, Dominion Custom Homes
  • Programs Committee Goal: To create impactful, mission-aligned programs and events that bring members together in meaningful ways—building connections, advancing the local homebuilding industry, and ensuring every member sees value in their BRHBA involvement.
  • We will begin meeting in the second quarter of 2026 and plan the 2027 Programs Calendar.

Parade of Homes

Chair: Kate Colvin, Craig Builders

  • Plans and executes the annual Parade of Homes.
  • Meets approximately twice a month beginning with an initial meeting in February, and then regularly for three months prior to the October event.
  • Meeting dates subject to change, but email reminders will be sent.

Golf Tournament

Chair: John Scott, Builders FirstSource

  • Plans and executes the fall and spring annual golf outings
  • Meets approximately twice a month for two months prior to each event

Field Fest Committee

Chair:  Julia Roberts, Fulton Mortgage Company

  • Plans our annual Field Fest Event.
  • The Field Fest Committee will meet virtually starting in January.
  • We will finalize the meeting schedule in the new year and will do our best to meet monthly leading up to the event on April 23, 2026 . Email reminders will be sent a week ahead of our meetings.
  • Meetings are called when needed to plan the event.  Email reminders will be sent to all active committee members.
